The Disaster Management and Relief Division is very pleased to launch the National Plan for Disaster Management, to be implemented from 2010-2015. The Plan is the reflection of the commitments of the Government of Bangladesh for addressing disasters in a comprehensive way. The Plan will be helpful for effective intervention by the DM&RD to fulfill its mandatory role of coordinating all disaster management activities within the country. We hope that the plan will contribute towards a cohesive and wellcoordinated programming framework, incorporating GoB, non-government organizations and the private sector.
